Our Dog turns 2!

So our dog Janie had her birthday on Tuesday.  Well, at least that is what I am guessing.  We found her at a rescue shelter in Chicago nearly 2 years ago.  She was 7 weeks old at the time (that also is a guesstimate).  So the kids wanted an official birthdate, and I told them it was August 2nd (that is just what a mother does).

 This is what she looked like approximately 2 years ago.

The kids have been bugging me for weeks about having a celebration for Janie for her birthday.  So Lily made paper chains to hang around the kitchen.  And we went to the specialty Dog Bakery to get just the right treats for our mutt!  Oh, and of course I had to make a cake for Janie's people friends (afterall, I am not eating dog treats!).
